How do i know if my catalytic converters are stopped up?

I have a 2002 mustang and first of all the check engine light is on. When i first start it and start driving the CEL is solid, but after a few miles it starts blinking. Also it starts shaking as soon as i crank it, but stops if its rev'd up to 3000rpms or more, then when i drive it doesnt have much power and kind of feels like pressure is built up. Also it doesnt change gears when it should, usually around 4500rpms, and when it does shift it jumps pretty hard. And the longer i drive it, it feels like it loses more power and feels like more pressure is built up!
